Some days just have to be black & white …

With an overcast sky and the tide going out, I had a great afternoon wander on Crescent Beach, followed by a visit to the Islands.

On my walk along the beach, I was in the company of a rather cold wind. Luckily, I had four layers, my cap and two hoods to keep me warm. By the time I got to My Rock for the customary sit down to solve the world’s issues, it was windless and warm and remained like that on my way back, which resulted in the feeling of being overdressed.

Having once again failed to solve the planet's on-going problems, I went off to the Islands to check on things there, where it was extremely quiet, still, warm and wonderfully nice.

My thanks go out to the seagulls pictured below, for the continued patience with me, while I continually screw around attempting to take that ever elusive perfect photo …

Sunrise at Sunset …

Up early on this frosty cold morning for a visit to Sunset Park to see the sunrise.

The scene and the light were constantly changing as the sun appeared to be in a hurry to get up and on with its day.

Hanging on ....

While out for my morning wander, I noticed a lot of the snow that had recently accumulated on the trees, was beginning to fall to the ground, while others appeared to be hanging on for dear life …

It came …. (again)

Just a few days after the last snowfall, it happened again ...

See my previous blog ~ “It came ….” ~ https://southshoretidewatch.blogspot.com/2023/02/it-came.html

This time a little bit more was dropped upon us, but with that we were rewarded with some lovely local views and the inescapable clear up. Fortunately, Buddy Brett was out with his faithful tractor to help with that and had lots of fun doing it …

Today being March 3rd, I am once again reminded of this day in 1980, when I was surrounded by bright spring blossoms, thousands of daffodils and freshly cut grass, see my blog from one year ago ~ “Memories of other times …” ~
