Where did August go …?

The calendar tells me that tomorrow I wake up in September, but I actually feel that it should be mid-July …!!!

This summer is just flying by, I recall clearly August starting in what seems like just a few days ago, and now it is Labour Day weekend  ~ Where did August go ...?

While deeply and seriously thinking about that question, I took what turned out to be a brief sunset walk on Crescent Beach. The tide was too high for my usual full length beach wander, so after taking a couple of photos of the sun going down, I headed off to Bush Island. On the island I enjoyed the company of Great Blue Heron, who watched with much interest, as I tried to get that perfect sunset photo.

As for an answer to that question ~ I have absolutely no idea ….

I often think to myself ….

………… “it does not get any better than this.” ~ But frequently it actually does get better, in fact I think it gets better all the time.

Once again, I was out early for a beautiful morning beach wander, which extended with a walk onto Bush Island. While on the beach part of the outing, I noted that the handful of locals I passed, all had broad smiles on their faces ~ I suspect they know it gets better ….

Air Show Atlantic 2024 ….

Along with buddy Alan and a fair bit of personal excitement, we went off early for a great day at the Air Show Atlantic 2024. This year’s event was held at Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Greenwood (14 Wing Greenwood) and was in part a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the RCAF.

My excitement was driven by the appearance of the Royal Air Force (RAF) Red Arrows, who came over to take part in the 100 years celebration. Since I was a Wee Laddie in Scotland, I have always wanted to see the Red Arrows who this year are celebrating their 60th birthday.
