Below are a few pics of our daily visitors. They are all well fed and I suppose very happy to hang around to keep us entertained. There is however one early morning visitant we cautiously observe from an extremely safe distance ….

Random morning pics …
With the tide high, the wind warm and fresh, I was out again at LaHave Islands and Crescent Beach. Any time of the day is perfect for this type of wander, but the mornings are definitely becoming my favourite. On this fine morning, the remote corners of the Islands were silent, still and reflective, while the beach was active and busy with migrating Plovers.

Misty morning wander …
A beautiful morning wander in the company of a high tide at Rissers and the Islands. Once again as is often the case now, the mist was thick along the coastal areas while just a little inland it was bright and warm ~ I am really beginning to thoroughly enjoy the morning mist.

Bird of Prey …
Recently Linda has been throwing nuts and seeds on top of the wood shed for our local squirrel. Often, he can be seen chasing off the Morning Doves who have also grown fond of those daily treats.
This afternoon another feathered visitor landed on the wood shed, one who I suspect would be more of a challenge to our squirrel. Not being too sure
of the type of bird, a thorough and detailed google search was done on “Birds
of Prey in Nova Scotia” and unanimously it was decided that the visitor was a
Red-Tailed Hawk, who according to Wikipedia enjoys squirrels as a culinary
treat ….!!!

No rock sitting this morning …
As mentioned in my previous blog titled ~ “50 years ago ....”, often while out wandering on Crescent Beach, I like sit down on My Rock, but due to the morning’s very high tide, this was not possible. So, after a beach walk on both Rissers and Crescent, I went off to my other favourite place of solitude on the LaHave Islands.
This morning was another where on the beach and other costal locations there was a saturated fog/mist coming in from the sea, but inland it was bright and warm.
Below are photos of My Rock with a sea moat around it and my favourite island location.
